Not all degrowers hold the view that decoupling should go that far. There is quite a lot of divergence about the extent to which urban living and specialization should be abandoned. Hence a lot of abstract formulations (like this one from Hickel: "But the key to an ecological society is just the recognition that we are in relationship with each other and the world that surrounds us") or insistence on not imposing anything on anyone, not detailing anything.
